This past Monday, the “M&M Ivanaj Foundations of New York & Tirana” and the Department of Justice at the “Marin Barleti University” jointly held online the award ceremony for the “Mirash Ivanaj” prize. Our Executive Director, Drita Ivanaj, had the pleasure of announcing the winner of the 1st prize named after her uncle, Prof. Mirash Ivanaj.
The event brought together young students that are pursuing their education in jurisprudence and high school applicants that want to follow their higher education in law. In her closing remarks, Ms. Ivanaj encouraged all present by saying: “The profession you are about to start is very important for the country and the generations to come. It will give you the power to shape Albania. It is not an easy path to take; it requires honesty, transparency, and integrity. You now have the freedom to pursue this profession, but, remember, freedom means also self-discipline, which you need to learn and cultivate throughout your entire life to make the choices that provide justice for all.”
“M&M Ivanaj Foundations in New York & Tirana” will continue to stand behind their goal, to provide educational and cultural opportunities of all sorts for Albania’s younger generations, and the development of their dreams for a better future within their country.
