Took place in the middle of this month. It was planned and agreed upon on a whim, by the Ivanaj Foundation’s staff of Tirana after the individual annual vacations took their turn. Although short termed and long traveled, it turned out well and provided a welcome break in the daily lives of all involved by adding also new experiences in personal interactions outside the usual work and environmental settings.

The areas crossed along the planned route (Tirana – Theth – Podgorica – Shirokë) offered great sights ranging from mountain peaks down to green valleys, from idle rivers and quiet lakes, to bustling cities while driving through endless country roads and highways. Comfortable lodging was available everywhere, but service and food ranged greatly. Nationalistic feelings aside, we are proud to state that the Albanian side shines on all counts (gastronomy on top)!!

All back home, now, safe and sound, as we share pictures, we vigorously tackle tasks and responsibilities that are in full swing facing our mission with programs and projects throughout the rest this year and next spring. Onward we go!
