Albanian Cultural and Natural Heritage within the UNESCO Framework is the latest project carried out by teacher Elmira Gjonaj and her students from "Sami Frashëri" High School, as part of the “Mirash Ivanaj – Teacher of the Year” Award.

Through carefully prepared exhibition stands, informative materials, and student presentations, Albania’s UNESCO-recognized heritage sites and traditions were showcased, highlighting the outstanding values of our national identity, history, traditions, and natural heritage. The activity served as an opportunity to emphasize the importance of preserving, protecting, and promoting Albania’s cultural and natural heritage for present and future generations.

Dressed in traditional costumes representing different regions of Albania, the students proudly presented each stand, drawing attention to the traditions, customs, and richness of Albanian cultural identity. The event was further enriched by elements of traditional Albanian hospitality, which helped create a warm and authentic atmosphere characteristic of our culture.

This project is the result of the long-term dedication and hard work of teacher Elmira Gjonaj and her students. The exhibition stands and educational materials will remain displayed within the school premises as a valuable educational resource, serving future generations of students in learning about, appreciating, and safeguarding Albania’s cultural and natural heritage.
