When history intertwines with technology and creativity, projects like "History Speaks" come to life. Through this project, we embarked on a unique historical and cultural journey presented by the students of the History Club at "Petro Nini Luarasi" School, under the guidance of their teacher, Vera Prendi.
Through a chronological journey, the students explored the history of Albania, from the Illyrian and Dardanian tribes, the State of Epirus, and the Ottoman Empire, to the establishment of the Albanian state, the period of the Albanian Kingdom under King Zog I, the communist era, the post-communist years, and Albania’s path toward European integration. In doing so, they once again highlighted the strength, sacrifices, and enduring love that Albanians have preserved for their homeland across generations.
This rich historical narrative, enhanced with valuable information about Albania, was presented in a creative and contemporary way through an interactive digital map designed as a guide for tourists and for anyone wishing to learn more about our country.
With a single click on each region of the map, visitors can discover detailed information about local history, traditions, cultural heritage, tourist attractions, cuisine, as well as the historical and cultural events that define each area.
A project that encourages young people not only to learn history, but also to present and promote Albania with pride and creativity.
