The Albanian Flag
After a journey of eighty years, the Albanian flag of the Ivanaj family is back home in the Ivanaj Foundations. Although forced to leave her home during the World War II occupation, the Italian professor Giuseppina Pogliotti Ivanaj, spouse of Dr. Martin, was able to rescue and protect this important symbolic relic of the Ivanaj brothers.
Eventually her daughter, Drita Ivanaj assumed this responsibility. After many obstacles, Ms Ivanaj has brought the flag home where it now waves once again at the Ivanaj Foundations, representing both the Ivanaj family and Albanian pride.
