On March 15-17, 2018, the M & M Ivanaj Foundation Institute in Tirana hosted the \u201cEESTech Challenge Tirana\u201d from EESTEC LC Tirana in the field of “Big Data Analysis”. This challenge was supported by Intesa Sanpaolo Bank Albania.<\/p>\n
\u201cBig Data Analysis” includes analyzing data sets in databases using algorithmic methods and using language programming like MySQL, as well as apps like Apache, Hadoop and MapReduce. The project, launched six months ago, was concretized through a Hackathon, real-time competition on March 15-17, 2018, attended by students from the University of Tirana, oriented in Computer Science and Information Systems. Within two days, 4 out of 7 participating teams managed to create their own projects on the key topic specified in the banking sector by solving a host of tasks given by Intesa Sanpaolo Bank Albania ICT experts.<\/p>\n
The winning team, which will represent EESTEC LC Tirana and Albania among more than 20 European countries in the final competition phase that will take place in Novi Sad, Serbia in May, \u00a0was announced \u201cBitShift\u201d with members: Erald Keshi, Enea Duka and Skender Patorri.<\/p>\n
The event was attended by the Bank\u2019s Senior Management representative, Deputy Chief Executive Officer Mr. Dario Grassani, as well as the Head of the Department of Human Resources & Organization, Mrs. Entela Zigori and Head of ICT Division, Mrs. Alekta Lamce.<\/p>\n
