The Albanian book trade fair in Tirana just closed its annual huge exhibit of printed texts of all sorts at the Palace of Congress this past weekend and the occasion prompts us to mention a couple of items closely related to this subject that we are delighted to share with our readers and supporters.

The Library of the M. & M. Ivanaj Foundation Institut in Tirana continues to grow, thanks to the kind and thoughtful contributions of collaborators and friends. Books of all sorts and subjects trickle in at different times and occasions and they are carefully catalogued by our responsive Archivist. Just like others, three of the latest publications depicted here as a sample were thoughtfully hand consigned directly to our Founder during this past week.

An additional activity that relates to books collection for other purposes is accomplished by our Foundation who, instead of receiving, actively engages in giving back to the community through different initiatives. A special one is our annual Holiday Gift Drive when we provide books to children in need, thanks to the generous funding of our friends and supporters that reinforce our commitment to education and social impact. We are grateful and continue to count on these donations!

Also, the Ivanaj Book Club that is an entity that uses our library twice a month to discuss books of their choice and share from time-to-time special literary guests for the benefit of its members, is an auxiliary partner in the execution of similar and common goals.
