Today we had the pleasure of revisiting the premises of “Dom Nikoll Kacorri” High School at Këneta e Durrësit. The Director opened the doors to their library once again, to give us the opportunity of donating the manuals we carefully prepared in accordance with the “Women for Children” projects requirements.

Earlier this year we conducted training sessions for 48 high school students and their parents, with the amazing help of a specialized psychologist, to teach them techniques on how to deal with the devastating occurrences caused by seismic events. The training materials and related concepts now form the new manual we just delivered, which offers this type of guidance to children and mothers in dealing with, and overcoming traumas caused by earthquakes or other similar future occurrences.

This project was one of three programs supported by the financial contribution raised by Albanian American Women in Washington DC, through the Valbin's Center for International Programs (CIP) and it was developed and implemented by our dedicated staff in Tirana, who worked intensively to achieve the set project goals.

The manual is provided both in Albanian and English versions, and we were thrilled to donate these books to the students of the above school, as they will be of great support to them, their parents and teachers as well. Downloadable versions of both versions of this manual will also be offered for free on our website.

With renewed thanks to all involved in this and other projects we successfully executed, we take the opportunity to remind everyone that our deeds are possible because of your donations, welcome at any time and easily processed by clickable link choices in our ‘Donate’ page.
