We all know how difficult it is to run a business. But think about how difficult it is to run a business affected by a disastrous earthquake through a global pandemic. Doing business needs preparation, perfection, responsibility. The leader’s responsibility is major, to ensuring the business’s survival and success, for himself/herself, their family, their employees, their family’s employees, their consumers, etc.

Circa 2 months ago, we launched an open call for applications for women whose business affected by the earthquake and many applied. Due to limited financial possibilities, only businesses most in need were selected. The women owners of these businesses are now receiving full support from the Ivanaj Foundations.

Under this optic, today we offered a training on legal and financial matters to women owners of these businesses. Topics discussed were real life issues that small businesses face today in Albania. The legal expert explained what the Constitution foresees in cases of natural disasters. He also emphasized contractual obligations a business owner has in cases of major force. All women present agreed that these are actual topics, whose need to be explained was high, especially right after the earthquake.

The financial part of the training raised a high interest among participants, as they deal daily with respective authorities. Business declarations, deadlines, penalties for late declaration were among the topics explained by our financial expert. Very important were the fiscal facilities and legal changes published in the context of the earthquake and pandemic, which were explained and well received from the audience.

At the end of the training, businesswomen expressed their gratitude for being part of this training and project (*) and they look forward to bringing a new image/ product/ aesthetical view to their businesses through the assistance of the Ivanaj Foundations.

And us, at the Foundation, will continue to give our support, through different means and tools also to young and adult entrepreneurs.
