 The main function of the New York corporation's headquarters is the raising and managing of funds for the development and implementation of both the long and short-term objectives and plans that have been formulated since the Foundation's inception.

An eventual and projected aim is the realization of physical facilities to be setup on the Ivanaj properties in Albania, where the “M. & M. Ivanaj Foundation Institute" was legally established in 1996 to put into operation a functioning cultural and educational organization servicing Albanian youth.
 
Toward this end the  Institute will  provide to the Albanian public rooms for educational meetings, conferences and electronic classrooms, exhibits of historical documents, books and other donated materials (currently housed in  the U.S.) for reference and research. It will also supply facilities and space for local and international networking connecting Albania to the global economy and scholarship, and it will publish documents and proceedings for educational purposes as well as lodging for visiting scholars.
 
The work on the above goals could not be started until the Ivanaj properties became accessible, and this first big step was finally accomplished, after innumerable difficulties, in June 2009
