Both the Ivanaj Foundation in New York and its Institute in Albania are planning to become more active in sponsoring education and cultural events on both sides of the Atlantic.

One of these was the round table discussion that took place at New York University in May 2000 (as per Press Release), which turned out to be a very enjoyable event for both its participants and the attending public.
Another was the lecture delivered by Drita Ivanaj on April 2, 2001 at Oakland University, at the invitation of the Albanian American Student Association. This organization represents a large student body at both Oakland and Wayne State Universities in the Detroit, Michigan area, whose members are mostly born in the United States, but are eager to learn more about their country and its past.

The Foundation also collaborates with other organizations within the country and in the Albanian communities of its Diaspora to engage the younger generations in team work so as to provide more understanding about Albanian culture and the educational needs within Albania proper.
